Ms. Deirdre McGuone is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in Emergency Cardiology at St. James Hospital in Dublin, Ireland where she has worked the last 24 years. Recently, she was honored with a Ph.D. scholarship from Trinity College Dublin to commence her research on assessing the effectiveness of a mobile cardiology ANP clinic that she established to enhance access to preventative care within the community. With a profound interest in digital health, Ms. McGuone holds a PGD in the same field. She has actively contributed to the advancement of healthcare through her innovative work, including the design of a communication platform and STEMI app aimed at streamlining intrahospital transfers for improved efficiency. Adding to her academic pursuits, Ms. McGuone is set to complete her Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Healthcare Innovation at Tangent Business School, Trinity College Dublin. She is Motivated by a strong desire to contribute to the reduction of CVD in Ireland.
