Professor Len Kritharides

Professor Kritharides is Senior Staff Specialist Cardiologist Concord Hospital, Professor in Medicine at the University of Sydney, Head of the Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology Research Laboratories at the ANZAC Research Institute, and Clinical Director of the Cardiovascular Stream of the Sydney Local Health District. He has long standing research interests in cardiac outcomes research and pathological processes in atherosclerosis, including work on HDL function and platelet biology. Previous appointments include Head of Department of Cardiology and Director of Echocardiography Concord Hospital Sydney, President of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ), and Chair of the Advanced Training Committee in Cardiology RACP. He has served on the Boards of the CSANZ, National Heart Foundation, and the Heart Research Institute Sydney
