Professor Jean-Francois Obadia

Professor Jean-François Obadia is today the chief the department of Adult Cardiac surgery in Lyon – France. As a member of EACTS, ISHLT, AATS, he is mainly involved in valvular Surgery and Cardiac assistance and transplantation. - The valvular program includes all aspects of valvular surgery from the most complex repairs for endocarditis (Homograft of monobloc aorto-mitral) to the minimally invasive approaches for mitral. He is also very active in the developpement of the per-cutaneous approaches for the aortic valves (TAVI) and Mitral vales (Mitraclip, Valve in Valve, Valve in MAC, Neochord, Tendyne…). - The transplantation program includes 45 hearts transplantations, 20 Mono Left assistance and bi-VAD and around 100 ECMO per year.
