Graduated in Medicine in 1983, residency in Internal Medicine and then Cardiology until 1987 at Hospital das Clinicas and Heart Institute (InCor), University of Sao Paulo Medical School. In 1987 was research fellow in Heart failure and Cardiomyopathy. From 1988 was addmitted as Cardiologist at Heart Institute (InCor). In 1999, received Doctorate degree in Cardiology. From 2004 - actual is the Director of Infusion Centre and Day Hospital and from 2007 to 2018 was the Director of Heart Institute Emergency Department. Is associate professor at University of Sao Paulo Medical School, from 2019 received the degree of FESC and member of ACCA Acute Heart Failure Board. Developed and coordinates the acute and chronic heart failure training program (SAVIC) and coordinates the Heart Failure Program at State of São Paulo Society of Cardiology (SOCESP). In 2022-2023 is the President od Heart Failure Department of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC).
