Dr Alan Fong is Consultant Cardiologist at Sarawak Heart Centre, Kota Samarahan, and Head of the Clinical Research Centre, Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching. He graduated from University of Bristol (UK) in 1999 and gazetted as Cardiologist (Interventional Cardiology) by the Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2008. He was elected Fellow, American College of Cardiology (ACC); and Fellow, European Society of Cardiology, in 2011. He is also Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, the Society of Angiography and Interventions, ASEAN Federation of Cardiology and of the National Heart Association of Malaysia. He is a member of the American Heart Association. He is member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology. He is the current President of the National Heart Association of Malaysia. He is Chair-Elect to the ACC's GHATI Initiative, and member, Board of Directors of the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacology.
