Palliative Care for people living with heart failure has been in the focus of my personal interests since 2000. In 2011 I have edited the text book on Palliative Care in Heart Failure (in Polish, the original title: Opieka paliatywna w niewydolności serca). I am the initiator and the chair of European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) Task Force on Palliative Care for People Living with Heart Failure (https://www.eapcnet.eu/eapc-groups/task-forces/heart-disease). The main outcome of this Task Force is the publication of the Position Statement in Cardiovascular Research (10.1093/cvr/cvz200). For my M.Sc. dissertation on pharmacological treatment of heart failure related breathlessness I have received the Dr. Wilhelm Eithel Price at the Ludwig University of Freiburg (Germany). I am motivated to take hard effort to improve the provision of Palliative Care for every person living with Heart Disease who has uncovered needs, that can be addressed by palliative care.
