Professor Claudio Passino

Claudio Passino, MD, is Full Professor of Cardiology at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa and currently works as Director of the Clinical Research Division of the Fondazione Gabriele Monasterio. He holds deep experience in clinical research on cardiovascular diseases and participated to several international projects. Since 2010 he is advisor for clinical trialing for the Fondazione G. Monasterio of Pisa. His research interests focus on cardiovascular control by the autonomic nervous system, on pathophysiology of heart failure, and on development of novel biomarkers for cardiovascular disease. Author of more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, reviewer and member of the Editorial Board of International Journals.
