Dr. Panteleimon Papakonstantinou graduated from the Medical School, University of Crete, Greece. He was Internal Medicine Resident (as a part of the cardiology residency program) and clinical research coordinator at the Internal Medicine Dpt, University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete. He has completed his Ph.D. studies in the field of atrial fibrillation (AF) at the Cardiology Dpt, School of Medicine, University of Crete. He underwent a clinical observership program in invasive electrophysiology at Leipzig Heart Center. He is currently Cardiology Resident at the 2nd Cardiology Department of Evangelismos Hospital, Athens, Greece, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the field of arterial hypertension and related cardiac arrhythmias at the Hypertension Unit "ESH Excellence Centre", 1st Cardiology Department, Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interest focuses on the study of arrhythmias, especially AF, thrombosis and hypertension.
