He holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), a Master's degree in Medicine (Cardiology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a PhD in Medicine (Cardiology) from the UFRJ and a post-doctorate from the National Postdoctoral Program (PNPD) of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). He has experience in the area of Medicine, with an emphasis on teaching, research, extension and assistance in the specialties of Cardiology and Intensive Care, working on the following topics: clinical cardiology, epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, sleep disorders related to cardiovascular diseases and technological assessment in health. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. He works in the disciplines of Cardiology and Scientific Method. He is the Coordinator of the Sleep Laboratory of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
