Dr. Samir Saha, a Bangladesh-born- Swedish Cardiologist, is a dedicated researcher and clinician with expertise in heart failure, atrial fibrillation, Type 2 diabetes, and hypertension. Dr. Saha is a passionate exponent of cardiac mechanics and practices advanced echocardiography both in the clinical as well as in research. Dr. Saha and his co-investigators are among the first investigators showing the importance of left atrial mechanics in atrial fibrillation. Dr. Saha is a member of the Swedish national study on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction ( HFPEF). Besides. Dr. Saha has thousands of teaching hours to his credit for providing education to physicians, cardiologists, medical students, and cardiac sonographers. The students have been from the US, UK, and Sweden, and India. Dr-. Saha has been awarded numerous research grants from various foundations in Sweden. He has also received a research grant from Novo Nordisk Sweden to conduct diabetes research in primary care.
