Luna Gargani is a Cardiologist and Researcher of the University of Pisa.
She has been trained in cardiology and clinical research at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council in Pisa, and has been a research fellow at Northwestern University in Chicago.
She is a recognized expert and pioneer in lung ultrasound. Her main research interests are cardiovascular imaging and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).
She has been involved with the ESC and in particular with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) since 2010. She is currently the Echo deputy Chair of the Certification and Accreditation Committee of EACVI, and member of the ESC Membership Committee.
She is member of the Editorial Board of the European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Imaging, Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Journal of Scleroderma and Related Disorders.
