Luna Gargani is a Cardiologist and Researcher of the University of Pisa.
She has been trained in cardiology and clinical research at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council in Pisa, and has been a research fellow at Northwestern University in Chicago.
She is a recognized expert and pioneer in lung ultrasound. Her main research interests are cardiovascular imaging, point-of-care ultrasound, and assessment of congestion in heart failure.
She has been involved with ESC activities, and in particular with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) since 2010. She is currently member of the EACVI Board, and the Co-Chair of the Certification and Accreditation Committee of EACVI.
