Dr. Soraya Taleb is a Research Professor at the Paris Cardiovascular Research Center (PARCC). Alongside her research team, she studies the role of immune responses in cardiometabolic diseases, such as obesity and atherosclerosis, and investigates how dietary factors, particularly tryptophan, influence the gut microbiota and contribute to cardiometabolic health. Dr. Taleb completed her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Karine Clément, focusing on the link between obesity and inflammation. She then joined Dr. Ziad Mallat’s team for her postdoctoral studies, where she concentrated on immune responses in atherosclerosis. Her work has since been published in prestigious journals, where she has served as the senior author on studies in Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism, Nature Communications, Circulation, Circulation Research, Cell Reports, and many more.
