Doctor Wisam Yassi

The two words that best define him are passion and resilience. Resilience carried him on the challenging path from fleeing Iraq to fulfilling his dream of becoming a cardiologist in the Netherlands. His passion for cardiology drove him to become an accomplished imaging specialist with Level 2 CCTA, EACVI echocardiography certification, and Level 3 CMR certification. He is also deeply involved in medical innovation, contributing to e-Health and telemonitoring solutions for patients with heart failure and atrial fibrillation. His efforts were recognized in 2022 and 2024 with the Outstanding Leadership Award and the Visionary Award. Currently, he works as a multimodality imaging cardiologist at the Sint Jansdal Hospital, surrounded by dedicated colleagues and friends. He speaks Dutch, English, and Arabic fluently, and has a basic level of Italian. Together, we are committed to delivering better and more efficient cardiovascular care for our patients.
