Biography
Dr. Ofir Koren, MD, FACC, FESC, is a leading interventional cardiologist specializing in transcatheter heart valve therapies, including TAVR, TMVR, and TTVR. He serves as Program Director of Cardiovascular Innovation, Assistant Professor of Cardiology, and Research Scientist at the Smidt Heart Institute, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Koren holds dual board certification in internal medicine and cardiology, with subspecialties in interventional cardiology and heart valve diseases. He has authored over 110 peer-reviewed publications and served as the main author and editor-in-chief of Complex Cases in Structural Heart Intervention (Springer Nature). Dr. Koren is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and an alumnus of Harvard Medical School’s Global Healthcare Leaders Program. In recognition of his humanitarian work, he was awarded an honorary professorship in Humanities.
