Biography
Katrin studied medicine at Heidelberg University. She works as a clinical cardiologist, trained at Danderyd Hospital, Stockholm and is actively practicing part-time in Landspitali Hospital, Iceland.
She is also currently CEO and practicing part-time in the private clinic Hjartamiðstöðin, Iceland.
She defended her Ph.D at Karolinska Institute in 2020. Her research interests are focused on atrial fibrillation and the epidemiological aspects of screening.
Katrin speaks Icelandic, German, Swedish and English fluently and is an avid traveller.
