Biography
Prof. Dr. Andreas Gevaert is cardiologist and researcher from Antwerp, Belgium. He is a senior staff cardiologist at the Antwerp University Hospital (UZA) with a clinical focus on echocardiography and heart failure, including advanced heart failure (LVAD/heart transplant). He is assistant professor at Research Group Cardiovascular Diseases, GENCOR department, University of Antwerp. His main research interests are HFpEF, exercise physiology, exercise imaging, cardiac rehabilitation, and echocardiography, but he is also involved in several basic science research projects. He is a member of several sections and committees of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology.
