Maggie is an Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service, Lead Clinician of the Scottish Obstetric Cardiology Network & a part-time Medical Student at the University of Edinburgh. In clinical practice Maggie delivers an ACHD heart failure service for patients with complex congenital heart disease in Scotland. She also provides preconception counselling for women with all-cause CVD and works with the Pregnancy Heart Team to deliver specialist cardio-obstetric care. In these roles she manages a range of CV disorders & co-morbidities. Maggie is a member of the Board of the ESC Heart Failure Association & Association of CV Nurses & Allied Professions (ACNAP) & chairs the ACNAP education committee. She is also Chair of the British Adult Congenital Cardiac Nurse Association & Scottish Heart Failure Nurse Forum & elected councillor to the British Society for Heart Failure & UK Maternal Cardiology Society.
