Professor Richard Steeds

I am a Consultant Cardiologist at University Hospitals in Birmingham, specialising in cardiovascular imaging and in the management of valvular heart disease. I am Lead Cardiologist in Echocardiography and CMR. I am the immediate Past President of the British Society of Echocardiography, having previously been Chair of Education. I am a member of the Departmental Accreditation and Membership Committees of EACVI, and have contributed regularly as an abstract marker for both ESC and EACVI . I am an Honorary Reader at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Birmingham, have published more than 200 peer-reviewed research articles, and am an Associate Editor for Echo, Research and Practice. I currently hold BHF research grants in mitral regurgitation and CKD.
