Biography
Pr Philippe Kolh, MD, PhD, cardio-vascular surgeon, is Full Professor of Physiology & Biochemistry at the University of Liège, & CIO at the CHU of Liège, Belgium. He has authored >290 peer reviewed publications and given >340 lectures. He is EIC Emeritus of the European Journal of Vascular and EndoVascular Surgery, Associate Editor Emeritus of the European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and Editorial Board member of the European Heart Journal. He served as Chairman of the ESC/EACTS 2010 & 2014 guidelines on myocardial revascularization, and as member of the ESC Committee for Practice Guidelines (2010-2016), of the ESC Congress Programme Committee (2014-2020), and of the ESC Nominating Committee (2018-2020). He has been President of the European Society for Vascular Surgery, of the World Federation of Vascular Societies, of the Belgian Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and of the Royal Belgian Society of Surgery. He is member of the Royal Belgian Academy of Medicine.
