Born Feb 7 1943 , India and went to Prince of Wales school, Dehradun in 1959. Qualified as doctor from MAMCOL New Delhi (1965).Resident fellowship in UK from 1966 till 1969. Joined University Hospital Utrecht in Netherlands in 1970 and thereafter shifted to Leiden Medical School in 1971 to specialise in cardiology under Prof Herman Snellen ( MD Cardiology Leiden University 1974); Awarded PhD after publication of Thesis at Leiden University in 1975 title " CHD riskpattern in Dutch youth: Westland Study " under Prof Alexander Arntzenius.Travelling Fellowship award of Netherlands Heart Foundation to study epidemiology at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 1973. Fellow of American College of Cardiology (2004). Joined Lievensnerg Hospital , Bergen op Zoom( Netherlands) in 1976 as cardiologist. Retired from clinical practice in 2007. Founding director of Euro India Medical Exchange Foundation to promote CME program in cardiology in Davos and India.
