Olivier Sitbon, MD, PhD, is Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Paris-Saclay University and consultant at the French Referral Center for Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), Department of Respiratory and Intensive Care Medicine, Bicêtre University Hospital in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, France. He leads the team "Medical and surgical therapeutic innovations in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)” of the INSERM Research Unit "PH: Pathophysiology and Innovative Therapies". He has conducted extensive research in PAH and he heads the French Registry. His investigational activities include clinical studies on factors associated with PAH, prognostic factors, risk stratification and treatment goals in PAH, and the development of new strategies for the treatment of PAH. He co-chaired the Working Group on “Trial Design & New Therapies for PAH” at the 6th World Symposium on PH in 2018. He has authored more than 330 peer-reviewed articles on PH and related topics in the main highly cited scientific journals.
