Born in Medan, Indonesia, finished his study on general medicine at Faculty of Medicine University Indonesia Jakarta in 1982. then work as GP at Remote Island. To be cardiologist at Dept Cardiology and Vascular Medicine National Cardiovascular Center Jakarta 1990. Post graduate training under the fellowship of Japanese Council for Medical Training at Toranomon hospital Tokyo and NCVC Suita Osaka and fellowship from Victor Chang Heart Foundation at Heart Transplant Unit Dept Cardiology St Vincents Hospital UNSW Sydney. Got his PhD at University Indonesia Jakarta 2006 and got his Professorship in 2013 and become the Chairman of Education division medical professorial unit. He is the Coordinator for Collaboration of Teaching Hospital Univ Indonesia and working group on heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, cardiometabolic and cardiovascular biomarker of Indonesia Heart Association. He is also served as the consultant of Health Technology Assessment Ministry of Health.
