Biography
Dr. Sebastian Göbel is the current Medical Director of the Hochstaufen Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center. With extensive clinical, academic, and scientific experience in cardiology, he has developed particular expertise in cardiovascular imaging, heart failure, and cardio-oncology.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Göbel served as a senior physician at the Department of Cardiology at University Medical Center Mainz. For many years, he headed the echocardiography laboratory as well as the heart failure outpatient clinic and was responsible for the field of cardio-oncology.
His research has addressed the epidemiology of heart failure, cardiovascular aspects of oncological diseases, sex-specific differences in treatment, and disease-associated complications.
