Yuji Ikari, MD, PhD, FACC, FESC Professor, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Tokai University, Japan Dr Yuji IKARI is a professor of cardiology in Tokai University, Japan. He is a president of Japanese Association of Cardiovascular Intervention and Therapeutics (CVIT) and an executive board member of Japanese Circulation Society since 2018. He was an editor-in-chief of CVIT journal from 2010 to 2018. He started transradial intervention (TRI) in 1994. He designed the patent-approved IKARI guiding catheter for TRI in 1995. His study about “physics of guiding catheter in TRI and TFI” is well-known because of its originality. He studied vascular pathology in University of Washington, Seattle, USA from 1996 to 1999. He is a core member of Slender Club Japan.
