Professor Karl Wegscheider

After studying mathematics with an emphasis of mathematical statistics, physics and applied statistics Karl Wegscheider was mainly academically engaged in medical statistics and econometry. Experienced in clinical trials as well as observational studies he headed the Institute of biometrics and epidemiology in Hamburg from 2007 to his retirement in 2015. As senior professor he continues his work on clinical trials.
