Dr. Eduard Holman has been a cardiologist at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands since 2003. His area of expertise lies in non-invasive cardiac imaging for patients with structural heart disease and congenital heart defects. In 2017, he became interested in the development of AI algorithms and their application in image processing. He explores how AI can assist in the early detection of diseases and the utilization of advanced medical imaging by non-professionals. Currently, he is involved in research projects involving AI and echocardiography to facilitate its practical use.
