Bashir is a cardiology trainee and fellow in coronary and structural intervention in Wessex region, UK. He is a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellow at King's College BHF Centre, doing clinical and pre-clinical research in biomarkers of myocardial injury, with a focus on clinical validation of the novel biomarker cardiac myosin-binding protein C (cMyC) in the triage of patients with suspected myocardial infarction. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK, and an enthusiastic clinical educator.
