Dr. Benfari has completed his Cardiological training at the ​University of Verona, Italy. His clinical and research expertise is mainly in valvular heart disease and heart failure. Dr. Benfari is an assistant professor at the University Of Verona in Italy where he also practices as a consultant cardiologist in the echocardiography laboratory and heart failure clinic. His research focuses on valvular heart disease, with a ​particular interest in combined/multivalvular heart disease. His Research Training included a Fellowship in advanced echocardiographic research at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA, and he currently holds a Research Collaborator position at the Mayo Clinic. He also completed a Ph.D. program in Cardiovascular Science at the University of Verona. Dr. Benfari is Fellow of the ESC (FESC), the Italian Society o Cardiology (FISC), and a member of EACVI-HIT committee.
