Professor Jonas Oldgren

Jonas Oldgren is Professor of Coagulation Research at Uppsala University and Senior consultant in Cardiology at Uppsala University Hospital. He is also Secretary General for Clinical Research at the Swedish Research Council. Dr Oldgren has been national coordinator, steering committee member and/or coordinating investigator in several large-scale randomized controlled trials in cardiovascular medicine, and served in data safety monitoring boards of multinational clinical trials. He was a member of the task force for the 2016 ESC Atrial Fibrillation Guidelines, and participated in the writing committee for EHRA NOAC Practical guide 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2021, and has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
