Biography
Dr. Sue Wright MBBS FRCA FFICM is a consultant cardiothoracic anaesthetist at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London. She was born and educated in Zimbabwe and graduated in medicine from the University of London in 1984, subsequently gaining fellowships of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine.
During her career in anaesthesia she has worked in Southern Africa, the USA and in the UK and has been deeply involved in medical education across several continents. She established and led the peri-operative echocardiography service at the Heart Hospital in London where, with two colleagues she co-invented the HeartWorks echocardiography simulator.
