Doctor Henry Skinner

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus, Nottingham (United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland)

I am a consultant cardiac anaesthetist. My primary interests are point-of-care coagulation, cardiac intensive care, echocardiography and developing the role of advanced nurse practitioners. I have previously co-chaired the EACVI Certification committee for TOE and have collaborated on the EACVI Focus curriculum paper. Our group have described a novel way of assessing TAPSE with TOE in 2D thereby overcoming the inherent problem of aligning the M-mode cursor with the direction of TAPSE. I have also published chapters on quality assurance in echo and the use of TOE during coronary bypass grafting.
