Professor Allan Jaffe

Dr. Jaffe has spent career working on biomarkers of cardiac injury, thrombosis and hemodynamic stress. For that reason, he has been involved in most of the major guideline initiatives in defining myocardial injury and myocardial infarction. He has published original research extensively and is a member of most of the major editorial boards. Dr. Jaffe presently is the Wayne and Kathryn Professor of Cardiovascular Disease Research at the Mayo Clinic where is an engaged clinician working predominantly with patients with ischemic heart disease. He has a joint appointment and is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology as well.
