Dr Levelt is a Welcome Trust Clinical Career development fellow, Consultant Cardiologist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and an Associate Professor of cardiovascular imaging at the University of Leeds. Her research group focuses on cardiometabolic diseases including diabetes, diabetes and valve disease, gestational diabetes and clinical trials. She has completed her DPhil studies at the University of Oxford in metabolic imaging and diabetic cardiomyopathy.
