Dr Oikonomidis Dimitris, MD, PhD is a specialist cardiologist and fellow in the echo lab in the 2nd Cardiology Unit in Hellenic Red Cross Hospital, Athens. He is granted from Hellenic Cardiology Society. He was born in 1981. After successful national examinations, he entered the Medical School, University of Ioannina and received his Medical Degree in October 2007. He was awarded a Doctorate Degree in 2015 for his thesis entitled " Endothelin and ventricular arrhythmias after myocardial infarction. The role of ETB receptors". Doctor Oikonomidis trained in Cardiology at the Hellenic Red Cross Hospital, Athens. He received the ‘Cardiology Specialist’ title in September 2018, after successful Board examinations. He is currently member of Hellenic Cardiology Society, of Greek College of Cardiology, of HFA Group and of Greek working group in Echocardiography. He attends the Post Graduate Course in Heart Failure at Zurich University.
