Biography
Dr. John Gordon Harold served as the 62nd President of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He was the Founding Chair of the World Heart Federation (WHF) Partners Council, where he fostered collaboration among professional societies, industry, non‑governmental organizations, and global health stakeholders. In this role, Dr Harold contributed to strengthening international partnerships aimed at reducing the global burden of disease. Dr. Harold holds Master designation from both the ACC and the American College of Physicians. He has received multiple international honorary fellowships, including from the Royal College of Physicians (London and Ireland) and the British Cardiovascular Society, and is a recipient of the Irish Cardiac Society Stokes’ Medal. He is Professor of Cardiology at Cedars‑Sinai Health Sciences University and a former Chief of Staff at Cedars‑Sinai Medical Center. He was the recipient of ACC's International Service Award and the CA ACC Lifetime Achievement Award.
