Honorary fellowships with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Royal College of Physicians (London), Cardiological Society of India, British Cardiovascular Society, Irish Cardiac Society (ICS) and the National Institute for Prevention and Cardiovascular Health (Galway, Ireland). Internal medicine training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and fellowship in cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
