Dr Anastasia Vamvakidou is a Consultant Cardiologist subspecialising in advanced echocardiography, stress echocardiography and myocardial contrast perfusion echocardiography (MCE) in Imperial College Trust. In 2018 she completed a Master’s degree in Cardiology and Management in Brighton University. Her PhD at Imperial College London focused on the value of stress echocardiography for the assessment of aortic stenosis and has been pivotal in establishing the use of transvalvular flow rate for the diagnosis and prognosis of aortic stenosis. She has published 26 original papers (12 as first author) in peer-reviewed journals (including JACC Cardiovascular Imaging, EHJ Cardiovascular Imaging and Heart) in the field of stress echocardiography and MCE.
