Giacomo Mugnai obtained his Medical Doctor degree in 2008 at the University of Siena (Italy), summa cum laude and he terminated in 2014 the Cardiology residency program of the University of Verona (Italy), with full honors. After a 5-month period as research fellow in 2013, he performed a 2-year fellowship from 2014 to 2016 (Postgraduate Certificate in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing) at the HRMC at the UZ Brussel (Belgium), directed by Prof. Pedro Brugada. He also got the PhD in Medical Sciences (11/2016) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Brussels, Belgium) with Prof. Pedro Brugada as promotor. He obtained the EHRA Certification in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology and he has been recently awarded with the “Scholar” prize by the Italian Society of Cardiology for scientific merits. After having worked in Pavia, Mirano (Venice) and Arzignano (Vicenza), he's currently working in the University Hospital of Verona (Italy) performing cardiac pacing and catheter ablation procedures.
