Doctor Marcelino Cortes Garcia

Fundacion Jimenez Diaz University Hospital, Madrid (Spain)

Member of:

European Society of Cardiology

Dr. Cortés carried out the university studies in the University of Salamanca, and the specialization in Cardiology in the Gregorio Marañon Hospital (Madrid). Complemented this training by relevants postgraduate masters: in the field of biostatistics (Universidad Autónoma of Barcelona), in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology (Universidad Complutense of Madrid). He developed his doctoral thesis about the percutaneous treatment of periprosthetic dehiscences. After that, his fields of study have been cardiac imaging and heart failure, resulting in multiple communications in the main congresses, as well as several manuscripts published in high-impact international journals. He obtained the accreditation from ESC for transthoracic echocardiography, and is actually part of the Heart Failure Unit of our department. He currently develops his activity in the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Universitary Hospital (Madrid), where has been tutor for cardiology fellow until today.
