- I am a trained electrophysiologist, and have implanted >400 electrophysiological devices including single and double chamber pacemaker and single and double chamber ICDs.
- I have been research director at North Zealand Hospital in Department of Cardiology. In my current position, I am managing my own research group, which consists of two research year students and six PhD students.
- I am collaborating with several international leading researches including Professor Richard Devereux and Professor Peter Okin (Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, USA).
- Since beginning of my research career my focus has been epidemiological research. However, the last couple of years I have initiated two large national clinical studies. One study, the DANNOAC study, was a cluster randomized study to test which blood-thinning drug was the safest in the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
