Dr. Chugh is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist and researcher who serves as the Vice-Dean and Chief AI Health Research Officer at Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles. He also serves as the Price Professor of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Associate Director of the Smidt Heart Institute and Director of the AI in Medicine Research Center. His research efforts have focused on novel methods for prediction and prevention of sudden cardiac death. Dr Chugh is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians. He is Past-President of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Society and the US Association of University Cardiologists. He has received the 2024 Distinguished Scientist Award from the American College of Cardiology, the 2025 Distinguished Scientist Award from the Heart Rhythm Society and the 2025 Cedars-Sinai Pioneer in Medicine Award.
