TOMASZ ZDROJEWSKI M.D., Ph.D. – a clinician, internist, academic teacher and researcher; Professor of Medicine working at the Medical University of Gdańsk and the National Institute of Public Health in Warsaw. An expert in the field of monitoring, prevention and modeling of non-communicable diseases, esp. CVD, and health policy. Since 2012, the Chairman of the Public Health Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Scholarships at the OSU in Columbus, Ohio Univ. (1989–1990), Wuerzburg Univ. in Germany (1990–1993) and Boston Univ. (2013). Scientific achievements: a total of 400 publications, including 167 original papers. Secretary (2002–2008), and Chairman (2016–2017) of the Working Group for the development and implementation of the POLKARD National Program at the Ministry of Health in Poland.
