Dr Benoy Shah is a consultant cardiologist at the Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton General Hospital. His subspecialist interests are in echocardiography and valvular heart disease.
He is the Immediate Past President of the British Heart Valve Society (2019-2022). He is a member of the Stress Echocardiography Accreditation Committee of the British Society of Echocardiography and, until recently, the TOE Certification Committee of the EACVI.
Dr Shah graduated from Imperial College London in 2002. During this time, he undertook an intercalated BSc degree in Cardiovascular Medicine, which he obtained with First Class Honours. He also undertook a higher research degree at Imperial College between 2011-2013 at the Royal Brompton and Northwick Park hospitals in London.
