Linda Griffiths has been working in the field of congenital heart disease since 1986. Since then she has worked clinically in both paediatric and ACHD settings and is in the unique position of nursing adults who she physically cared for as children. She was instrumental in developing the ACHD Specialist Nursing Programme in the North West of England, North Wales and Isle of Man and has won several awards for her work with young people and developing specialist ACHD-PH nurse led services. She has championed the role of the ACHD Nurse Specialist and was President of BACCNA from 2014-2017. She leads an education sub-group of BACCNA. More recently she has taken on the role of the Lead Nurse in the North West all age Congenital Heart Disease Operational Delivery Network. Her passion for making sure that services are patient centered has now resulted in her setting up a Patient and Public Voice (PPV) Group to ensure the patient voice drives service development.
