Biography
Dorothea Tsekoura, MD, PhD, MBA, is a Consultant Cardiologist, clinical researcher and university educator at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She founded and leads the Cardio-Oncology Clinic at Aretaieio University Hospital. Her work focuses on cancer therapy-related cardiovascular toxicity, advanced echocardiography, AI, 3D cardiac modelling and precision cardio-oncology. She contributes to CARDIOCARE, CHAIN and APOLLO, serves as National PI for Greece in ASPIRE-AF, and is Cardiology Advisor and Data Lead for ECHO Risk, MICCAI 2026. A member of the ESC Council of Cardio-Oncology since 2013, she is also a founding, consecutive-term Core Group member of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology Cardio-Oncology Working Group. Since 2021, she has taught at the Hellenic Open University. She has led the Greek edition of the Hellenic Journal of Cardiology since 2008 and authored or co-authored over 100 scientific publications and scholarly outputs.
