Professor András Jánosi MD, FESC is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. Nominee Professor of the Semmelweis University Budapest. Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Medical University of Budapest (Semmelweis University Budapest) in 1968. He worked at the National Institute of Cardiology as a senior staff member. In 1989 he was named the Head of the Department of Cardiology of St. John's Hospital in Budapest. From 2010 he is the scientific director of St. John's Hospital and a member of the Gottsegen Gyorgy National Cardiology Institute, the professional leader of the National Heart Infarction Register. The focus of his scientific interest is on the diagnosis and treatment of ischemic heart disease. In 1979 he protected his Ph.D. thesis on the prognosis of myocardial infarction patients and in 1989 he became DSc of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
