James McVeigh is a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner employed at the Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick, Sydney Australia. In current role as a Nurse Practitioner, he is responsible for the coordination of the Heart Failure services. This services primarily provides domiciliary care to enhance evidence based care to individuals living with heart failure. James is originally from Belfast in Northern Ireland and migrated to Sydney, Australia in 1992. He commenced his career in cardiac nursing on arrival to Sydney and has been employed in both clinical and academic roles during this time. He is keen to incorporate evidence based care within practice and has been actively involved in past and future research studies. He was involved in the “ WHICH II study” and is currently engaged in a tele-monitoring study, assessing the effectiveness of a smart app in monitoring and promoting health outcomes for patients with chronic heart failure
