I am a Cardiac Surgeon and a translational cardiovascular researcher with an interest in ischaemic heart disease and mitral valve disease. I study the pathophysiology of myocardial infarction using large animal models of ischaemic heart disease, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and myocardial infarction. I do clinical research in coronary artery bypass grafting and mitral valve surgery. I am an expert clinical data scientist and statistician with more than 10 years and I am an Associate Statistical Editor of the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
