Graduated from the Plovdiv Medical University with Honors in 1995 PhD degree in 2000 Specialist in internal diseases 2001 and cardiology 2003 Master in Health management 2011 Associate professor 2008 and Professor 2022 at First Department of Internal diseases, section Cardiology, Medical University Plovdiv Professional training includes a variety of courses in the field of general cardiology, exercise physiology, imaging, invasive cardiology: ESC training fellowship Paris, France in 2000 1 year Research Fellowship at the Division of Cardiology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA in 2002 2 year postgraduate course and certificate of advanced studies in Heart Failure from the University of Zurich, 2019 President of Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, mandate 2018-2020 FESC, FACC, Board member HFA, mandate 2022-2024
