Prof Charles Mondo is a consultant cardiologist at Kiruddu National Referral Hospital and St. Francis Hospital-Nsambya in Kampala Uganda since June 2016. Before then, he was a Consultant cardiologist at the Uganda Heart Institute and at Mulago teaching hospital for Makerere University Medical School. Prof Mondo graduated from Makerere University Medical School for his undergraduate studies (MB ChB), and from Tianjin Medical University, China, for his masters (M Med cardiology) and doctoral (Ph.D. cardiology) studies. He is a fellow of the European Society of cardiologists (FESC), a fellow of the American College of Cardiologists (FACC) and an honorary professor of Medicine at Mbarara University Medical School. Prof Mondo is an avid researcher that has published widely in cardiology. He has attracted substantial funding for medical research, training and other local and international initiatives in Uganda.
