Biography
Alina SCRIDON is Professor of Physiology, Head of the Physiology Department, and Head of the Functional explorations Laboratory of the Center for Advanced Medical and Pharmaceutical Research of the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology "George Emil Palade" of Targu Mures, Romania.
She is Fellow of the ESC, former President and founder of the Working Group on Experimental Cardiology of the Romanian Society of Cardiology, Executive Secretary of the Romanian Society of Physiology, and Governor for Romania of the International Society for Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy. She is also Consultant cardiologist.
Her activity is mainly focused on clinical and experimental research in cardiac arrhythmias (mainly atrial fibrillation).
She defended her PhD thesis in 2012, in Lyon, France, and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
